π AI Startup Accelerator, Day 2.
Day 1 of the accelerator was all about locating the right target audience. The AI walked us through where to find the best target customers, online and offline. The AI located the best in-person group to join and also crafted a questionnaire for these early customers.
β‘Remember, the point of Module 1 is to explore the customer, the competition and to start crafting your unique value proposition.
This video explains what Module 1 is about: π π
π€Β Startup Idea: I want to create a mobile on demand sneaker cleaning business for basketball players.
This is the Day 2 roadmap π π π
Weβre going to identify current solutions (the competition) and customer pain points.
β
Β Task 1:
Not a problem. π
Letβs research whatβs out there.
π€Β Al, help me with this.
Ok, letβs hammer down on that a little bit more.
We know there are a lot of sneaker cleaning products.
π€ Is anyone offering a mobile sneaker cleaning service in the United States?
β Ok, it looks like, yesβ¦ this is common.
π€Β Tell me each companyβs unique value propositionβ¦
Nice.
π€Β Which of these are my competition? Who is local?
Got it. Super helpful. Iβm ready to move on.
π We need to be thinking of how we can do something different and better than the competition.
β The next task to perform:
We dove into this a little in module one, but we didnβt discuss our solution just yet. Letβs maybe touch on our solution a little this time.
π€ Help me hereβ¦
π€ Ok great. Write those interview questions for me pleaseβ¦
Perfect. Thanks.
Assuming weβve done this task and talked to these customersβ¦ we can move on to the final step on Day 2.
β Task 3:
I learned that people are very open to paying for this service.
However, a key point that kept coming up was that the customers do NOT want any harsh or toxic chemicals used in cleaning.
π€Β What non toxic chemicals could we use? π€·ββοΈ
Great!
β
Something else that was important to my early customers was an easy pickup and drop off service.
π€ What are your thoughts on how we could accommodate that?
β‘ So it seems like weβre having a positive response from our target customers. They are open to the idea, they would pay for it, and they are voicing their needs.
π€ However: It does seem like this is a competitive space. So, going forward, we need to think of the Unique Value we can bring to the customers. Weβll explore much of that in Module 2.
I think weβre ready to pause here and hit Day 3 next! π
πββοΈ See you next week
π€ Remember this:
β
Day 2 is all about researching your competition and starting to think of how to position your product or service in a unique way.
β Day 2 involves finding more potential customers to talk with, and getting their feedback.
β
Β Itβs MUCH SMARTER to get the input of customers NOW. The OLD WAY of doing it involved launching and then getting feedback. πΒ
π‘ Remember: If you have more than one idea β pick the idea where you are closest to the target audience. As you can see, youβll be talking with them a lot!
