🚀 The TWO QUESTIONS you should ask before you launch something.

🙋‍♂️ Hello, I’m Aron.
Quick message today:
đź’ĄÂ Nail this first
If you’re thinking about starting something new, start with these two questions:
1. Who is this for?
2. Why would they care?
That’s it.
These questions sound simple, but they’re everything.
When you get specific about who you're serving you stop trying to build for “everyone” (which really means no one).
Get really specific:Â
âś… Moms in the Midwest with multiple kids in afterschool sports!
Too broad of an audience makes the journey much more difficult:
❌ Moms
❌ Moms in the Midwest
etc.
And when you’re crystal clear on why they would care you’re not just making a product, you’re solving a problem that matters.
It’s dangerous to start with just an idea. Ideas are great, but if there’s no market for them (customer demand) then you’ll spin your wheels and put a ton of time and money into the idea.
Be sure to start with the PROBLEM that is being solved for this target audience you identified in Step 1.
🔍 Let’s look at a few real-world examples:
Calendly
Who is it for? Busy professionals who constantly go back and forth scheduling meetings.
Why do they care? It kills email ping-pong and gives back time.Duolingo
Who is it for? Casual language learners who want to build a daily habit.
Why do they care? It’s fun, gamified, and keeps them accountable.Notion
Who is it for? Creators, startups, and teams who want to organize work their way.
Why do they care? It’s flexible and replaces multiple tools with one clean workspace.
Even the most successful companies start here.
❌ They don’t lead with “cool AI” or “built on blockchain.”
✅ They lead with who it’s for and why it solves something real.
👋 Meet Val — your new AI startup mentor
She starts you off with these same two questions, and tons more!
Val is an AI you can talk to, literally.
She’ll call your phone, listen to your idea, and help you shape it into something real.
You just talk and she does the heavy lifting.
And while you're on the call, she’s not just giving advice…
She’s actually building your landing page in the background.
🧪 So if you're stuck, don’t build yet.
Just write down those two questions and answer them honestly.
Talk to real people.
Test your assumptions.
Take the feedback and iterate based on what they are saying.
LISTEN MORE than you talk 🙂Â
🤖 If you're not sure how to answer those questions, or need help clarifying your idea, that's exactly what our AI mentor, Val, does on a short phone call. She even builds you a site while you're talking. (It’s wild.)
