We Rebuilt ValidatorAI Inside an AI Chat

We Rebuilt ValidatorAI Inside an AI Chat

Hello, Aron here.

A few weeks ago, we made the decision to pivot from a simple AI tool to a founder intelligence platform. We wanted to launch our new vision without a design team or months of dev work.

So, we decided to vibe code it, using our real data, and it worked better than expected.

Here's what we actually did, what we learned along the way and how you can get an amazing result without spending a fortune.

What we built

The new ValidatorAI is data forward.
Live charts, behavioral trends, hesitation index, founder behavioral buckets, all visible the moment you land here. The AI validation tool is still there but it's no longer the entire homepage.

We built this inside Base44 → Try it here

The biggest visual decision was a light gray hero against dark data card panels. That contrast between the bright headline section and the pitch-black charts is what makes it feel like an intelligence platform rather than a landing page.

We also added live energy elements: a scrolling ticker of recent idea scores, a LIVE founder momentum index, a rotating stat bar showing weekly founder trends. These make the site feel alive rather than static.

Making all of this happen was remarkably simple.

How to get the best results. What we learned

A few things made this build faster and cleaner than most AI site projects:

Start with a vision brief before you prompt anything
Write down what the site is for, who uses it, three words that describe the feel, and one site you like the look of. Paste all of that in your very first message. This alone eliminates ten back and forth exchanges before you start.

Feed it real content not placeholder text
Real numbers, real testimonials, real stats. The AI builds around whatever you give it. Give it everything you have before you start.

Use image uploads instead of long descriptions
A screenshot of a color palette or a site you admire is worth ten prompts of description. Every image you upload saves multiple exchanges. We dropped in reference screenshots constantly and the direction was immediately clear.

Build one section at a time
Ask for just the hero section, make it perfect, then move on. Asking for a full site in one prompt produces a mediocre result across twenty sections. One focused section at a time produces something great.

Say "keep everything else the same, just change X"
When you want a small tweak, be explicit that everything else stays the same. This prevents the AI from accidentally changing things you already liked.

Give specific layout feedback
"This looks off" is hard to act on. "The two column grid should collapse to one column on mobile" is immediately actionable. Specificity speeds everything up and costs you less money in AI credits.

Lock sections before moving on
When a section is right say it out loud: "this is locked, don't touch it again unless I ask." This creates a shared understanding of what's finished.

Do a dedicated mobile pass
Ask the AI explicitly to audit and fix your mobile layout. Treat it as its own task not an afterthought.

Describe what you don't want
"No generic SaaS template, no rounded bubbles, no pastel colors" eliminates entire categories of wrong answers before you start. Constraints are useful for the AI and save you tons of time/money.

The sequence that worked for us:
Vision brief → hero section → real data → energy elements → section by section → dedicated mobile pass → polish → hand off to Derick (our tech lead) to connect all the live data
