A Live Look Inside 300,000 Founder's Ideas.

Hello,
Aron here with ValidatorAI.com
Three and a half years ago we launched ValidatorAI to find out if founders actually do what they say they'll do. 300,000 founders later, here's a live look at what we're building, what we're learning, and what the data is showing us.
1. We built a data backend that tracks idea activity
Every action a founder takes after validation is tracked: iterations, stalls, returns, category changes. We can now pull trends by category, score, time of day, geography and more.
Live stat: ~20% of founders change their idea across validation runs.
2. We're segmenting users into behavioral buckets
Explorer → testing an idea
Analyzer → researching, not moving
Refiner → improving, but hesitating
Sprinter → moving fast
Builder → clearly executing
Different segments need different routes after validation.
Live stat: 28% of founders fall into Sprinter or Builder. The rest need a different path.
3. We're launching a trends layer on the site
Coming soon: The new ValidatorAI will show what ideas are trending right now — categories growing, stalling, and what founders change right before they execute. Think Bloomberg for startup ideas.
Live stat: Idea scores have been trending upward since January 2026.
A quick note from our partners.
Every founder ends up needing the same 3 things:
Step 1: Build something quickly | Base44
Turn your idea into a live landing page in minutes.
Step 2: Learn how to get attention | HubSpot's GTM Bold Bets Playbook
See how startups like Replit and Ramp got their first users.
Step 3: Own your audience | Beehiiv
Start building an audience before you launch.
👉 These are the steps if you want to move forward.
4. We're testing real-time intervention
50% of all execution happens within 10 minutes of validation. Miss that window and most founders never move. We redesigned our results page to meet founders at that exact moment.
Live stat: Founders who see the timing window data build at nearly twice the rate.
5. We built a Hesitation Index
We measure how much each idea category hesitates before building. The gap between fastest and slowest is wider than we expected, and founders need routed accordingly.
Live stat: Founders building in Saas hesitate at twice the rate of those building in ecommerce.
6. We rank #1 on Google without paid ads
20,000+ sites link to us, we rank for hundreds of keywords, and we're being recommended by ChatGPT and Claude when founders ask about idea validation. We're being trained into the next generation of search.
Live stat: Thousands of new founders find us every month through Google and LLMs alone.
7. We segment the newsletter
200K+ subscribers segmented by engagement and idea category. Content will soon match what founders are actually working on.
Live stat: Data-driven newsletters average a 35% open rate.
8. What founders are actually building right now — May 2026
We see startup trends early, before a product is built or a company is formed.
Live stats: Categories founders want to enter. Past 30 days:
SaaS — 22%
Platforms — 19%
AI/Tech — 19%
E-commerce — 13%
HealthTech — 11%
Consulting/Services — 11%
Brick and Mortar — 8%
EdTech — 7%
Manufacturing — 6%
FinTech — 0.4%
9. Idea quality scores are rising
Scores are trending up, but execution rates aren't following. Better ideas don't automatically create better builders. Behavior still determines everything.
Live stat: Execution rates remain at approximately 15-28% depending on segment.
10. Here are the countries with the people most likely to build
We track propensity to build, not just where founders come from. Proximity to economic opportunity and tolerance for risk drives action more than access to resources does.
Live stat: Top countries by propensity to build — India, United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Nigeria, Pakistan, Germany, France, Netherlands.
11. Repeat usage predicts execution
Founders who come back and validate multiple times are far more likely to move forward. There’s a point where iteration helps, and a point where it becomes hesitation.
Live stat: 3 iterations is the highest build signal. After 3 validations, founders get stuck in an ideation loop.
We've launched features that failed, experiments that went nowhere, and ideas we had to abandon. Each one taught us something the data confirmed later.
Our AI tool is a segmentation machine. By the time a founder finishes validating an idea, we know their likelihood to act, their category, their hesitation level, and what they should do next… before any downstream platform ever sees them.
This data exists long before anyone else knows the founder is there.
